The pictures of the hostages were posted on personal medical charts. Staff members, patients and visitors stamped them with the words “TO BE RELEASED,” based on the yearning and hope for them to be released soon in good health and for them to return to the warm embrace of their families.
One of the patients said, “To stand in front of this display, in front of this tremendous number of hostages, is simply unfathomable - it is so hard to decide where to place the “TO BE RELEASED” stamp - we need to act quickly and ensure that they are all released soon.
The medical center issued a video in which staff members can be heard praying and hoping for the speedy release of the hostages in good health.
