The Emergency Medicine Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center – Ranked second among medium-sized hospitals in the Ministry of Health’s recently published National Program for Quality Indicators

The many efforts invested in improving the care and service at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center’s Emergency Medicine Department have proved successful, with its second place ranking in its group in the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Room Incentives Model – a model for improvement of quality of patient care and service, in which the Ministry has set as a goal for all hospitals.

The figures were reported during a Ministry of Health conference, where the program for quality indicators and their results was presented. The indicators included medical, nursing, and service targets, including waiting time for medical examinations and tests, which was recently published in a separate report, showing that waiting time at Hillel Yaffe’s Emergency Medicine Department is among the lowest in Israel. The Medical Center’s Pediatric Emergency Medicine Department was also highly commended, being ranked among the four best hospitals for this model. It should be noted that the two emergency rooms treat over 120,000 patients annually, and this number is constantly on the rise.

Hillel Yaffe Medical Center works hard to improve patient experience and quality of service, and is very proud of the achievements published by the Ministry of Health. In addition, the Emergency Medicine Department is currently beginning renovations and construction, an important project to which the Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center has adopted over the past year. The renovations are also expected to improve the welfare of patients and visitors to the Emergency Medicine Department.
