Ending the plague of diabetes!

Last Thursday, on World Diabetes Day, the Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit set up stands where Hillel Yaffe staff carried out diabetes and blood pressure testing for the public, as part of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center’s activities to advance community health.

The stands were set up in several places, including the entrance hallways of the hospital, the Ofer Lev Hadera Mall, and the center of Baqa al-Gharbiyye. The tests were free of charge, and included blood sugar level testing, and measuring blood pressure and weight, and explanations regarding treatment and avoiding problems were provided as necessary.
