The Hematology Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and conducts external and internal quality control to all tests.

The laboratory performs:

Blood counts
Coagulation testing in patients treated with anticoagulants
Tests to ascertain hypercoagulable states in patients with thrombophilia problems (blood clots)
Immunological tests to help diagnose autoimmune diseases
Tests to help diagnose hereditary blood disorders such as thalassemia and sickle cell anemia
Thromboelastograph – TEG to test functioning of blood-clotting mechanisms.
ImmunoXpert - a diagnostic test that accurately distinguishes between bacterial and viral infections based on immune response
