Dr. Gabbay Benziv is a graduate of the Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine. After graduating, she served as an army doctor and after completing her military service with the rank of captain, she specialized in obstetrics and gynecology at the Beilinson Hospital, where she also served, after completing her residency, as a Senior Physician in the Delivery Room and in the High-Risk Pregnancy Unit, as well as being responsible for risk management in the Gynecology Department.
From 2013-2015, Dr. Gabbay Benziv completed a fellowship at the University of Maryland, in Baltimore, as part of a scholarship for excellence from Clalit Health Services, from where she returned to the Beilinson Hospital as Senior Physician. She began her work at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in July 2016, as Director of the High-Risk Pregnancy Unit within the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department. During this period, she reshaped the hospitalization system in the High-Risk Pregnancy Department, including the introduction of new and updated working methods and protocols. She significantly developed the outpatient service and established designated clinics for specific situations in high-risk pregnancy.
At the same time as her clinical activity, Dr. Gabbay Benziv actively mentored residents in the department, and served as head tutor to the students of medicine at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Likewise, she is involved in clinical and laboratory research on issues connected with high-risk pregnancy. Dr. Gabbay Benziv mentors students and residents in foundational sciences papers, teaches students, and was chosen as an outstanding lecturer by the Technion. Dr. Gabbay Benziv is a member of the Israel Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Israeli Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the Israeli Medical Association.
